Job Responsibility
Applying didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice to become ready for a Pharmacist role
Complete a comprehensive training roadmap including Key Learning Experiences, activities, and time with leaders
Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions filled promptly, safely, accurately, and provide caring service
Learn to operate as part of the pharmacy team through Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, and effective communication
Demonstrate empathy and genuine care, contribute to a safe and inclusive culture
Live purpose by following SOPs at each workstation
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation for safe prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences showing empathy and genuine care
Offer to counsel, field medical questions, and solicit information on patient medical history under pharmacist supervision
Take telephonic prescriptions and call prescribers to clarify or facilitate medication changes where allowed
Maintain self-awareness and provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to pharmacy team
Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace growth mindset, seek opportunities to expand knowledge
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, travel to stores in market as needed
Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards
Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowable
Support immunizations including completing licensure and training, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, reviewing patient information
Requirements
Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Nice to have
1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
