Job Description:

3rd year Pharmacy Intern role focused on transforming health care for customers. Position supports pharmacy teams to deliver on brand promise while developing skills for increasing responsibility. Interns gain hands-on experience through training that includes Key Learning Experiences, activities, and time with district leaders.

Job Responsibility:

Applying didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Completing comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences
Assisting pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations
Operating as part of pharmacy team using Standard Operating Procedures
Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in customer interactions
Offering to counsel and fielding medical questions under pharmacist supervision
Taking telephonic prescriptions from prescribers
Maintaining self-awareness and providing coaching to team members
Completing basic inventory activities
Contributing to high-performing team with growth mindset
Supporting immunizations where allowable by law

Requirements:

Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
Communication Skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication
Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to use math to solve problems
Problem Resolution: Identifying challenging interactions and choosing the best course of action
Physical Demands: Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods

express ideas by spoken word

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
