Job Description:

As a graduate pharmacist intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team delivering purpose, modeling values, and demonstrating genuine care for patients. The position involves responsibilities such as patient safety, workflow management, inventory control, and customer service while working under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.

Requirements:

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • 0-3 years prior relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
  • Strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Ability to reach overhead
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
  • Precision control: able to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop to a considerable degree requiring full use of lower extremities and back muscles
  • Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and reading
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within required timeframe per state guidelines
  • Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager.

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • 3-5 years prior relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to provide patient immunizations as an essential pharmacist function once state regulations are met.
