Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school and pharmacy practice into real-world practice
Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation

Follow all company SOPs at each workstation
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation

Offer to counsel, field medical questions, and solicit information on a patient’s medical history
Take telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber and call prescriber to clarify prescriptions
Maintain highest level of self-awareness and provide in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring
Complete basic inventory activities
Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, be receptive to feedback
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, travel to stores in market as needed
Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, and voluntarily staffing offsite clinics)
Support immunizations, including completing additional licensure and training requirements, educating patients about vaccines, monitoring for adverse reactions, reviewing and collecting patient information
Requirements:
PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Nice to have:
1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified: Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
