Job Description:

Graduate pharmacist interns at CVS Health work as part of a pharmacy team to deliver patient care, model values, and ensure a safe and effective work environment. The role involves patient safety, professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Keep customers and patients healthy through management of patient care programs
  • display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and teammates
  • support pharmacy manager in motivating and developing pharmacy support staff
  • identify critical business opportunities and solutions to drive growth and performance
  • adapt to change and thrive in a healthcare setting
  • collaborate with others to deliver better outcomes

  • facilitate team culture promoting caring, energy, and enthusiasm
  • apply acquired knowledge to drive healthy outcomes and differentiate CVS from competitors.

Requirements:

  • PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
  • 0-3 years prior relevant work experience
  • must possess or be in process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist intern and/or technician licensure as required by state BOP
  • strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • ability to have regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
  • ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • ability to reach overhead and perform precision control tasks
  • visual acuity for tasks like transcribing and visual inspection
  • ability to orally communicate information and instructions
  • ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
  • ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within required timeframe per state guidelines
  • ability to complete required licensure and training within guidelines.

Nice to have:

  • Immunization eligibility
  • 3-5 years prior relevant work experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
