Job Description:

Graduate Pharmacy Intern position at CVS Health focused on transforming health care. The role involves applying pharmacy school learning into real-world practice, developing skills for increasing responsibility, and supporting pharmacy teams to deliver on brand promise while ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Job Responsibility:

Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Complete comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and accurate prescription fulfillment
Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in customer interactions
Offer to counsel and field medical questions under pharmacist supervision
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers
Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Complete basic inventory activities
Deliver additional patient health care services (immunizations, point-of-care testing)
Support preparing and administering vaccines where permissible

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Problem resolution
Physical demands including mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, and visual acuity

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store and across the market in other locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
