Job Description:

Graduate Pharmacy Intern position at CVS Health focused on transforming health care. This role helps people navigate the health care system by improving access, lowering costs and being a trusted partner. The intern will apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice to become ready for a Pharmacist role through comprehensive training and hands-on experience.

Job Responsibility:

Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Complete comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations
Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
Provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices
Demonstrate empathy and genuine care
Support management and oversight of pharmacy operations
Assist at pharmacy workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Offer immunizations and other health services
Counsel patients under pharmacist supervision
Take telephonic prescriptions
Maintain inventory activities
Support immunizations where permissible

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Ability to concentrate on tasks
Ability to pivot quickly between tasks
Customer service orientation
Communication skills
Mathematical reasoning
Problem resolution skills
Physical mobility and ability to lift up to 20 lbs

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work across multiple locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
