Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will support pharmacy teams at CVS Health in their mission to improve patient safety, prescription fulfillment, and customer care. You will undergo a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge of pharmacy workflows, federal and state compliance standards, and patient safety practices.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history
Completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law
Contributing to a high-performing team
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws
Delivering additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
