Day Lewis Pharmacy in Tottenham is looking for a reliable and motivated Pharmacy Dispenser / Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly and professional community pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy pharmacy environment and delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking an organised, patient-focused individual who can work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Responsibility:

  • Dispensing prescriptions accurately under the supervision of the pharmacist
  • Labelling and preparing medications
  • Serving customers and providing excellent patient care
  • Handling prescriptions and supporting the dispensing process
  • Managing stock and maintaining an organised dispensary
  • Supporting the pharmacist and wider pharmacy team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a community pharmacy preferred
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or currently working towards it) desirable
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Receive and record messages when the pharmacist is out of the department and accurately relay message information to the pharmacist on his/her return
  • Order and receive pharmaceuticals and other supplies and maintain a computerized inventory
  • Preparation of IV’s such as TPN and oncology medications
  • Process and file all invoices and packing slips having entered all necessary data into the computer inventory
  • Fill pharmacy shelves, being careful to rotate stock and check expiry dates
