Job Description:

Our in-store Pharmacies are hugely popular with our customers, and they will expect the same warmth and friendliness they get everywhere else in the store – as well as being confident and relaxed about discussing personal health issues, quickly resolving customer problems and taking customers to the right products. We will help you to become a star Pharmacy colleague - you will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and you'll then move on to train as a Dispensing Assistant which will complete your pharmacy training. Each step of the way you'll be bringing something extra to our service and moving your career forward.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately assemble and process prescriptions
  • Drive awareness of extra pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews)
  • Support the Pharmacist with delivery and effective record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes)
  • Understand and work to strict Standard Operating Procedures
  • Collect customer prescriptions from doctor's surgeries on their behalf
  • Provide warmth and friendliness to customers
  • Discuss personal health issues confidently and relaxed
  • Resolve customer problems quickly
  • Take customers to the right products

Requirements:

  • Must pass an enhanced safeguarding check
  • Must be available for flexible shift patterns including weekends
  • Must complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months
  • Must train as a Dispensing Assistant
  • Must be naturally friendly, highly organised
  • Must have good computer skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills
  • Must be passionate about helping people and problem solving
