Job Description

Hunter AHP have an exciting locum opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join a NHS Hospital in South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic chance for an NVQ2-qualified candidate to gain or build upon hospital pharmacy experience, with full NHS training provided for those coming from a community background.

Job Responsibility

  • Over-the-counter assistant responsibilities
  • Supporting the dispensary team with labelling, dispensing and stock management
  • Ensuring accurate and safe supply of medicines
  • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of medicines across wards and departments
  • Providing excellent service to patients, carers, and clinical staff

Requirements

  • Must hold an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience desirable, but not essential – NHS training will be provided for community-experienced applicants
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
