Job Responsibility

Under the supervision of a staff pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for providing technical support to pharmacists at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in the Central pharmacy, oncology clinic, intensive care units, operating room, TPN area and/or the Employee Prescription Center
preparation, packaging and delivery of medications for both inpatients and outpatients
assists in at least one of the specialty areas including Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Oncology Clinic, TPN production, operating room and the Employee Prescription Center

INVENTORY – Order medications from wholesaler and put order on pharmacy shelf when received. Load medication into distribution/dispensing technological solutions
MAINTENANCE - Assist with the implementation and maintenance of software and hardware associated with Pyxis, RxRobot, Optifill and other departmental systems
