Are you an experienced Pharmacy Assistant looking for a long-term career outside of retail? One of our pharmacy clients in Regina is hiring for a full-time, permanent position due to growth! This is an excellent chance to join a professional pharmacy focused on patient care, in a specialty setting. This role offers stable Monday-Friday daytime shifts (either 8:30 - 4:30 or 9:00 - 5:00), scheduled in advance. You'll work in a bright, modern, and supportive office style environment, with opportunities for internal promotion and career growth within a large team. To be set-up for success, you should have a minimum of one year of experience supporting mid-to-high volume prescription entry (including independently processing insurance claims / billing and adjudication for private and public payors - your skill level will be evaluated), and patient service in a fast-paced setting. Ideally, we are seeking talent with 2+ years' experience with insurance claim management to be able to solve related problems quickly, contributing to patient service excellence. Your customer service and professional telephone manner will be utilized to support incoming and outgoing patient calls. Pairing this with your proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and your multi-tasking skills will set you up for success! Kroll proficiency is preferred but we are open to qualified assistants with other pharmacy software proficiency.
Job Responsibility
Enter prescriptions in Kroll with accuracy and efficiency
Complete third party billing and adjudication through public and private providers, calling providers to resolve problems and understand issues
Support the prescription filling process by picking, labeling, and preparing medications
Communicate internally via email/Teams and assist with coordination of deliveries
Assist with pharmacy inventory: receiving, stocking, and tracking medications
Prepare and verify waybills and shipping details for outbound prescription deliveries
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists in a fast-paced, team setting
Maintain pharmacy records and assist with general housekeeping or administrative duties
Requirements
1+ years of pharmacy experience in a mid-to-high volume pharmacy setting
Professional phone manner and ability to manage incoming and outgoing calls while typing at 50 WPM+
Strong working knowledge of Kroll prescription software
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a high-volume, structured team environment
