Job Description

PR7 5SZ We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
  • Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
  • Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
  • Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
  • Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Requirements

  • GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential
  • Communication skills
  • Organisation skills
  • Patience
  • Non judgemental
  • Team working
  • Basic IT skills
  • Genuine interest in healthcare and working with people
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • No previous pharmacy experience required

Nice to have

  • GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English
  • Ability to drive
