Pharmacist – Brand New State-of-the-Art Hospital. Competitive Salary + Excellent Company Benefits. Cambridge - Cambridgeshire. £45,000 - £53,000 per annum. Full-Time/ Permanent - 40 Hours. Job Responsibility

  • Support the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of running a smooth and efficient day-to-day pharmacy service, including acting as the Responsible Pharmacist and supervising pharmacy staff to maintain legal and professional standards as necessary
  • Assist in the provision of a patient-focused clinical pharmacy and dispensing service
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager in managing the work of the pharmacy team helping to co-ordinate operational deployment of staff
  • Be responsible for and initiate liaison with staff including other staff in the Centre / Nursing staff and Consultants concerning prescriptions and medicine management issues
  • Provide pharmaceutical advice ensuring safe, effective, economical and timely pharmaceutical care for the patients and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation and policies
  • Participate in the Saturday duty cover if required

Requirements

  • Member of the GPhC as a registered Pharmacist
  • MPharm or equivalent
  • Good understanding of patient care pathways and processes
  • Dispensary experience – community or hospital
  • Experience of Policy / procedure Guideline development
  • Clinical audit experience
  • Demonstrates good clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge
  • Awareness of current issues in Pharmacy
  • Good clinical skills to analyse prescriptions
  • Demonstrates good understanding of key government objective and publications
  • Understanding of issues affecting medicines use across the interface
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to manage complex problems
  • Ability to prioritise well and work under pressure
  • Excellent lecture, presentation, IT and numerate skills
