We’re looking for a committed, patient‑focused New Zealand–registered Pharmacist to join our community pharmacy team. Job Responsibility:
Ensure all prescriptions are clinically safe, appropriate and compliant with legislative and contractual requirements
Oversee and manage the dispensing process, including supervising dispensary staff and ensuring timely, accurate completion of all prescriptions
Provide professional advice to patients on the safe and effective use of prescription, OTC and complementary medicines
Support and guide pharmacy staff to ensure they deliver accurate, up‑to‑date advice on minor ailments, OTC products and complementary therapies
Assess patient symptoms, recommend appropriate treatment options and identify when referral is required
Maintain effective stock management aligned with dispensing patterns and PHARMAC Pharmaceutical Schedule changes
Build strong relationships with patients, prescribers, suppliers and the wider pharmacy team
Ensure all pharmacy claims are accurate and submitted within required timeframes
Requirements:
New Zealand pharmacist registration and a current APC
Extensive experience in community pharmacy practice
Strong clinical judgement and the ability to provide clear, accurate advice
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
A commitment to confidentiality, integrity and high‑quality service delivery
The ability to work collaboratively and provide leadership within the pharmacy team
