Badham Pharmacy are looking to recruit enthusiastic and energetic pharmacist managers to join our teams across Gloucestershire. We currently have vacancies in our St George's Place branch in Cheltenham GL50 3QD and Alvin Street Gloucester GL1 3EN. The vacancies are full time Monday to Friday 09.00-17.30pm and will include some Saturday work in another branch on a rota basis. We are also able to consider part time applicants for this role. The branches offer services such as hypertension, pharmacy first, contraception and NMS and their is the scope to develop the services offering further to include travel vaccines, weight management and more private services. The current trade is around 5-7,000 items a month and includes MDS trays and care homes. The branch is ideal for a newly qualified pharmacist looking for their first role in community pharmacy, or equally an experienced pharmacist who is services driven, and able to develop the provision of these. The St Georges branch has recently moved over to the Pharmacy X system for dispensing which allows Pharmacists much more free time to carry out essential services in the community, and Alvin street will be moving over to this in the next 3 months. With the launch of Pharmacy First representing a fundamental change in the way Pharmacies are run and funded, now could be the opportunity you have been looking for to join a well known local community pharmacy. Job Responsibility:
Undertake the role of responsible pharmacist at the pharmacy
Manage the safe and effective delivery of all pharmaceutical services at branch level including blood pressure, contraceptive services, flu jabs and all Pharmacy First services
Maintain and improve peoples’ health by promoting Healthy Living Pharmacy services
Ensure the effective and efficient running of the pharmacy, leading by example
Ensure the pharmacy engages with all commissioned services and complies with the quality framework
Develop the pharmacy business through relevant initiatives
Requirements:
Qualified Pharmacist, registered with the GPhC upon start date
Strong leadership of a team of technicians, dispensers and counter assistants
Nice to have:
Commercially focused
Excellent clinical skills
Able to communicate effectively with customers, staff, GPs, and other healthcare professionals
Excellent customer service skills
Services driven
Able to develop the provision of services
