Job Responsibility

Supervise and organize daily pharmacy operations, managing pharmacy technicians and nurses as needed to maintain accurate records, licenses, permits, and meeting attendance
Serve on various committees including Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Infection Control, and Medical Staff Committees
Establish and review departmental goals for continuous quality improvement (CQI) on a quarterly basis
Physically work in the hospital at a frequency determined by the contract and regulatory requirements to address urgent tasks
Develop, implement, and annually review departmental policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding pharmaceutical issues, drug information, and in-services
Monitor patient profiles for drug interactions, allergies, dosage adjustments, and provide counseling to patients on proper medication usage
Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, maintain medication inventory, and ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations
