Job Responsibility:
Evaluate, prepare, and dispense medications in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
Provide direct patient consultation regarding medication therapy, usage, and potential interactions
Review patient care plans to ensure therapeutic appropriateness and optimize outcomes
Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare staff to develop effective treatment plans
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational pharmacy regulations
Maintain oversight of controlled substance security, record keeping, and quality assurance protocols
Monitor and update patient profiles for insurance verification and regulatory compliance
Process and review prescription claims, ensuring accurate reimbursement and resolving discrepancies
Support oversight of pharmacy technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance management
Monitor team performance to ensure adherence to operational and clinical standards
Participate in hiring processes and contribute to team development initiatives
Provide guidance and recommendations to improve workflow, efficiency, and patient care delivery
Assist with financial oversight, including expense control and revenue optimization
Contribute to pharmacy performance metrics and business goals
Participate in marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement efforts
Support reporting, scheduling, and daily operational planning
Deliver a high level of customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving escalations
Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of patient concerns
Promote a positive and professional pharmacy experience
Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing training initiatives
Operate pharmacy point-of-sale systems
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution
