Job Description:

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking for an Evening Decentral Critical Care Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a full-time, evening shift opportunity with working hours of 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, with every fourth weekend required. This candidate will have the opportunity to support Med Surg ICU, Med Surg PCU, Neuro Intermediate Care, and Neuro ICU and work directly with physicians and nurse practitioners. This candidate will have a team of support and have teaching opportunities as well. This candidate should be a strong communicator, proactive, have excellent time management skills, and a passion for patient care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Entering orders with great accuracy
  • Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor
  • Supervising technicians and serves on committees as assigned
  • Answering questions for all health care professionals
  • Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff
  • Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years Hospital Pharmacy Experience
  • 1-2 years Experience with Automated Dispensing Devices
  • Residency Training
  • Experience with Pharmacy Information Systems
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Registered Pharmacist Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Pharmacist Required
