This position interprets provider orders and prescriptions, compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines and professional standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Consult with patients and others as required regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions
  • Provide drug information to patients, health care workers and others as necessary
  • Provide oversight and supervision of pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff including directing work flow and assurance of completion of duties
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in area of practice

Requirements

  • 1 year hospital experience strongly preferred
  • PGY-1 or BCPS preferred
  • May be required to be on-call in certain situations
  • Bachelor’s Science or Pharm D required
  • Active Pharmacist license in the state you are practicing required
  • ACLS Preferred
