Pharmacist Clinical Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborates with pharmacy leadership, physicians and interdisciplinary team members in accordance with TJC, OSHA, Medicare/Medicaid standards and Texas State Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations to deliver pharmaceutical care to eligible University Health System patients in the ambulatory setting. Conducts D.U.E. and patient/physician education activities as necessary. Functions as a source of drug information. Serves as a primary preceptor for pharmacy students and residents. Implements decisions set forth by the P&T Committee as written in the Hospital Formulary and complies with Health System policies and procedures.
