Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical / Medical Copywriter for a contract opportunity supporting HCP-focused marketing and advertising initiatives within a fast-paced agency environment. This role will develop clear, accurate, and compelling medical and promotional content across digital, print, email, sales materials, and branded campaigns while ensuring compliance with regulatory and medical/legal standards. The ideal candidate has a strong pharmaceutical advertising agency background, experience writing for healthcare professionals (HCP), and expertise in annotating claims and managing citations/references throughout the review process. 40 hours per week Pay rate: $50-60/hour Remote EST Freelance/Contract

Job Responsibility

  • Develop HCP-focused copy for pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing campaigns across digital, print, CRM, sales, and branded materials
  • Annotate promotional and medical claims with accurate references and supporting citations
  • Partner closely with creative, strategy, account, and medical/legal/regulatory teams to ensure content accuracy and compliance
  • Interpret scientific and clinical data into clear, engaging, and strategically aligned messaging
  • Support asset revisions through MLR review cycles while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment

Requirements

  • Previous pharmaceutical advertising agency experience required
  • Proven experience writing HCP-focused pharmaceutical or medical marketing content
  • Strong understanding of annotation processes, references, and citation management
  • Ability to translate complex scientific information into concise, audience-appropriate messaging
  • Excellent proofreading, editing, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
