Job Description

Petroleum Delivery position at Conserv FS in Tinley Park, IL. Provides energy product deliveries and services to customers. Requires CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides energy product deliveries and services to customers
  • Assists with resolving customer complaints in accordance with the company policies and procedures
  • Delivers all energy products utilizing a single or tandem axle truck and performs work related to the propane, petroleum, lubricant, and service areas
  • Delivers to farm, home, and commercial customer accounts
  • Safely handles all energy products at all times
  • Ensure tank installations and service work are made to customer requirements
  • Perform tank maintenance as needed per Conserv FS requirements on customer tanks
  • Completes technical and product training in order to stay up-to-date and knowledgeable of product changes
  • Reports all complaints to supervisor and utilizes appropriate procedures in handling complaints
  • Assists with inventory, making sure it is done correctly, on time, and sent to the main office
  • Takes necessary steps to control/manage shrink
  • Inspects truck and bulk plant on a regular basis and ensures a timely repair
  • Displays good judgment, positive attitude, and enthusiasm in dealing with customers and fellow employees
  • Maintains a good working knowledge of and utilizes applicable company computer programs such as wEBS, FBS, and email
  • Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts
  • Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adhering to the uniform policy, maintaining the appropriate professional image
  • Follows ConservFS's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrate strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle customer inquiries and concerns
  • Must have and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
  • Class A preferred
  • Will be required to travel independently and work self-directed
  • Occasionally exposed or required to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered normal
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training
