We are looking for a Petroleum & Corporate Solutions Performance Specialist for one of our clients.
Job Responsibility:
Develops and maintains an understanding of the company's business processes and systems, and identifies opportunities to improve and optimize them
Manages the Petroleum & Corporate applications portfolio, including assessing the adoption of applications, and identifying opportunities for optimization and consolidation
Custodian of the Petroleum & Corporate Solutions application portfolio
Leads License Managers to drive portfolio optimization
Supports, optimizes and manages the Petroleum & Corporate application portfolio
Keeps the Petroleum & Corporate applications portfolio/CMDB up to date, by conducting regular reviews of the applications portfolio
Collaborate with the Petroleum & Corporate Solutions Leads (business partners) in defining and maintaining the applications portfolio strategy and roadmap
Monitors industry trends and best practices related to application portfolio management, and applies them to improve the company's application management practices
Runs regular license usage reviews, and provides recommendations of optimization opportunities
Tracks license (and contracts) expiry dates on a regular basis
Lead License Managers to drive license optimization
Collaborates with Petroleum & Corporate Solutions Leads (business partners), license managers to drive portfolio optimization efforts, including application rationalization, consolidation, and retirement
Builds license optimization Strategies
Oversee the intricacies of license optimization tools, maximizing efficiency and compliance
Monitors applications performance
Monitors applications availability
Identifies low user adopted applications
Identifies key repetitive issues of applications
Collaborates with Petroleum & Corporate Solutions Leads (business partners), lead license managers, and interface with C&P to implement the framework (CMS Ref. GM-NOC-PAC-001)
Custodian of the Petroleum & Corporate Solutions license management framework
Develops and maintains documentation related to the applications portfolio and license management framework
Adheres to the controls of the license management framework
Educates users with license management process / best practices
Custodian & SME of the license management tool
Provides Level 3 Expertise Support for the License Management Tool
Runs regular upgrades of the license management tool
Custodian & SME of the 4 licenses servers & 2 Core servers that hosts all Petroleum & Corporate Solutions key licenses
Runs regular upgrades of the licenses servers
Sets up required scope/data for the licenses usage dashboards
Collects business users utilization behavior and adjust license optimizer accordingly
Creates and maintaining up-to-date records of documentation such as interface visuals, service matrix, service catalogue, SOP, etc
Liaise with external vendors of the applications
Discuss with vendors options of licenses optimization
Custodian of the Petroleum & Corporate solutions Architecture landscape
Keeps the Petroleum & Corporate Solutions Landscape always up-to-date
Identifies applications’ dependencies, interfaces, and setup
Contributes to the contract renewals process
Assess license usage reports before C&P kickoff
Stage gate check before approval of purchase requests
Interfaces with Infrastructure & Support team, InfoSec team, data Management, and CAB board: to understand yearly workplans, communicates, and follows up
Collaborates closely with the internal IS departments, especially Infrastructure and Support
Leading License Managers
Collaborates with Leads of surface, Subsurface & Corporate
Manages technical projects in the area of expertise
Ensures Information Security Policy Adherence within Petroleum & Corporate solutions
Password Management Custodian
Follows up on compliance of applications with security controls (minimize vulnerabilities, respect end of life, end of support)
Contributes to the budget forecast cycles
Contributes to the cost efficiency (savings) programs
Tracks expenses (of software)
Identifies key trends of spend
Identifies cost savings opportunities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
10+ years of experience in Oil and Gas industry
5+ years of experience in application portfolio management or related role
Strong knowledge of license optimization tools and license management
Strong experience in petroleum & Corporate applications governance and performance management
Excellent leadership & communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Intermediate skills in planning and coordination
Knowledge of IT governance and best practices related to application management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong English proficiency both spoken and written
