Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated PET CT Radiographer/Technologist to join our teams at Freeman Hospital PET-CT Centre and South Tees PET-CT Centre. This role can be based out of either the Freeman Hospital PET-CT Centre or South Tees PET-CT Centre, it will also include working across other sites in the region, as such there is a need for having your own transportation.

Job Responsibility:

Undertake a competency programme in PET-CT to develop knowledge and gain a full understanding of PET-CT
IV cannulate patients as part of the role
Work across other sites in the region

Requirements:

HCPC or equivalent voluntary registration
Background in Nuclear Medicine
Experience in handling and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals
High level of competency in cannulation (preferable)
Significant experience working as a Radiographer (considered, training can be provided)
Patient-focused attitude
Flexible, adaptable team player
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Patient care experience/skills
Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills including time management
Excellent communication and negotiating skills
High energy level
Ability to motivate self and other members of your team and appropriately delegate
Positive approach to change
Flexible approach to working hours
Experienced in PET-CT an advantage
IV Cannulation Certificate preferred
Must be IT literate
Enhanced DBS clearance required
Flexibility to operate across multiple sites if required
CT experienced desirable
Valid UK driving license and own vehicle (fuel can be claimed as an expense)
Right to Work in the UK without visa sponsorship

Nice to have:

Experience of PET-CT
High level of competency in cannulation
IV Cannulation Certificate
CT experienced

Training will be delivered “On the Job” and in collaboration with the Christie School of Oncology via the PET-CT training academy
Full training provided for IV cannulation if no prior experience
Fuel can be claimed as an expense
