Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PET-CT Clinical lead to join our team. This role would be suited to an existing service lead or experience Senior PET-CT Radiographer looking to move into a clinical lead role, who can demonstrate that they have developed transferable skills that are aligned to the requirements of this role. You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers/Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, HCAs, and administrative staff. As a Clinical lead you will work in close partnership with Centre manager we are aligned in every aspect of the service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Day to day running of the PET-CT service
  • Actively involved in rota planning, performance reviews, site/service meetings, audit, investigations and protocol optimisation and management
  • Support the Alliance Medical manager of the service in ensuring a high standard of service is delivered and maintained and that the service is CQC compliant

Requirements:

  • Highly developed specialist knowledge of area of expertise, underpinned by theoretical and practical experience
  • Awareness of, and compliance with Alliance Medical Policies and Procedures, Radiation Regulations (IRMER, IRR 99 and EPR 2010) if modality requires this, CQC requirements and Health and Safety legislation
  • Awareness of, and compliance with Data Protection and Patient confidentiality
  • Undertake initial and refresher mandatory training to ensure compliance at all times
  • BSc/DCR in Diagnostic Radiography
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in on site modality/ working with both inpatients and out patient demands
  • IV Cannulation Certificate
  • Evidence of extra responsibilities
  • Must be IT literate
  • HCPC registration essential
  • Enhanced DBS clearance required
  • Must be UK HCPC Registered

Nice to have:

  • Post Grad training in specialised field of MRI/CT an advantage
  • Ideally, we would like an applicant with some previous team leadership/management experience, knowledge of service development and delivery
