Job Description

The Pest Control Technician serves as a utility worker within the Facilities Services Department, performing a combination of functions as needed to properly care for University property and service customers. These responsibilities can include: (1) Ensuring proper treatment and inspections of all university facilities and grounds as well as provision of emergency pest control. All other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensuring proper treatment and inspections of all university facilities and grounds as well as provision of emergency pest control
  • Residence Halls, Academic Buildings, Residential Buildings, Off Campus Facilities
  • Provides response and solutions to emergent situations for pest control related problems
  • Maintains required records and ensures compliance with regulations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of work experience is required

  • Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations
  • Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm their appointments, help with sales to current customers, and expand our product to new customers
  • Ensure that all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols
  • Drive and safely operate a company provided service vehicle
