Job Description:

Pest Control Specialist position at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, responsible for inspecting, identifying and controlling plant pests and pathogens, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and providing training to horticulture staff.

Job Responsibility:

Inspect, identify and control all plant pests and pathogens
Mix and apply pest control materials
Maintain accurate records of inspections and pest control materials
Provide training to Horticulture staff in pest management
Maintain and repair pest control equipment
Provide bird and rodent control
Perform plant wash down and cleaning
Assist with removal and installation of plant material
Perform soil analysis and apply soil amendments

Requirements:

State Pest Control Operator Certification
DOT or Hazmat Certification
Wildlife Control Permit
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Minimum 2 years related work experience
