Personal Support Worker

• Enable an 18-year-old young man to remain independent
• Build and maintain a social network in the local area
• Access new activities that are linked to his interests
• Gain an understanding of independent life skills
• Build his awareness of risks and dangers in the community

• Must be experienced at supporting individuals with learning difficulties
• Be patient and understanding with the ability to adapt the behaviour to meet changing situations
• Be willing and able to engage in activities the client enjoys
• A car driver with access to their own vehicle is essential
• A full enhanced disclosure and barring certificate will be required
• Two references will be requested upon acceptance of the role
• one must be your last/most recent employer

A physically able and active individual would be preferred for this role to keep up with the young man
