Personal Support Worker

• Provides high-quality and compassionate care to ensure that the emotional, physical comfort, and safety of clients are met
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
• Provide specialized, client-specific support when required

• Personal support worker certificate or equivalent OR currently enrolled in nursing program (RN/LN/RPN/LPN) with a minimum successful completion of 1 year OR a domestic or foreign trained nurse
• Valid CPR certification is an asset
• At least one year of recent personal care experience in a similar position or life experience in which similar duties were completed
• Have either a reliable mode of transportation (bus, train, etc) OR a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for commuting
• A clear police criminal record and able to get a Vulnerable Sector Screening if required
• Received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine or combination of COVID-19 vaccines approved by Health Canada
• AND have received the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the official start date of hire

Valid CPR certification is an asset
