Job Description

Due to growth, this respected insurance broker has an opportunity for a Personal Lines Advisor to join their office in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate must have experience working with home and motor insurance policies.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a Personal Insurance Broker on specific nominated accounts
  • Manage a range of customer enquiries via telephone, email and post
  • Develop the account through existing client contacts and contribute to maximising growth through converting new business enquiries, cross sale and up sale of relevant ancillary products
  • Provide assistance to the claims department with any relevant claims
  • Updating client records with accurate information received from insurers
  • Transfer of copy and documents into the client electronic file
  • Maintain good credit control within your client portfolio
  • Ensure advice given meets clients' requirements and recommendations and reasons documented

Requirements

  • Experience gained handling private client insurance accounts
  • Highly motivated and efficient
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to handle a variety of communication channels (telephone, email, post)
  • Strong organisational skills for managing and updating client records
  • Sales-oriented mindset for upselling and cross-selling products
  • Willingness to pursue professional qualifications (Cert CII)
