We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable individual to join a leading national insurance firm recognized for its commitment to employees and community presence. This is a rare opportunity to start or advance your career in the insurance industry where no prior license is required—the company will provide and pay for your full licensing and training program! You will be the face of the brand in a key location, handling everything from serving existing policies to actively selling new home and auto insurance packages, with a strong focus on generating new business through community engagement.
Job Responsibility:
Actively upsell and cross-sell insurance packages (home and auto) to existing clients
Draw new business into the office
Participate in community promotion and potential cold-calling efforts
Serve existing policies, conduct needs assessments, process renewals, and handle retention calls
Write new policies, seek underwriting approval, and communicate with Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy changes
Maintain the office operations
Utilize broker management systems (like EPIC) and specialized databases to accurately process changes, issue certificates, and maintain records
Answer and manage a high volume of approximately 12–15 inbound calls and walk-in clients per day, aiming to answer calls within 20 seconds
Requirements:
Strong sales acumen
Excellent customer service personality
Financial background
High School Diploma or Post-Secondary Education
Willingness to dedicate two weeks to study and obtain the Newfoundland General Insurance License
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Comfortable rapidly adapting to new technology platforms (Broker Management Systems)
Demonstrated 'Can Do' attitude with ability and motivation to successfully upsell and cross-sell policies
High reliability, availability, and accountability
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and transition smoothly between tasks under stress
Excellent customer service personality, adept in conflict resolution
