We are looking for an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Annapolis, Maryland. This possible contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to a plaintiff-focused legal practice while working on cases from pre-litigation through trial. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
Organize and manage case files from initial intake to resolution
Coordinate discovery processes, including interrogatories, subpoenas, and requests for production
Review and summarize medical records, bills, and other case-related documents
Communicate effectively with clients, medical professionals, insurance adjusters, and court personnel
Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and managing trial logistics
Track and maintain case deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Utilize case management software to streamline workflows and document case progress
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation is preferred
Strong knowledge of state court procedures and filing requirements
Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively
Familiarity with Maryland Electronic Courts (MDEC) is highly desirable
Expertise in handling discovery, including drafting and responding to requests and subpoenas
Experience in trial preparation and civil litigation processes
