Job Description

A national plaintiffs’ law firm with a strong reputation for high-stakes litigation is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Philadelphia office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in meaningful plaintiff-side work. The firm focuses on complex, multi-defendant litigation on behalf of individuals and families who have suffered serious illness.

Job Responsibility

  • Case investigation and factual development
  • Managing written discovery and document review
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Preparing cases for trial and participating in trial proceedings

Requirements

  • 2+ years of personal injury or government litigation experience
  • Member of the PA Bar in good standing

Nice to have

  • Prior plaintiff litigation experience, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions
  • Judicial clerkship experience is welcomed
  • Prior experience in complex litigation is helpful but not mandatory

  • Prepare concise, well-supported case evaluations and present recommendations to the Managing Attorney for review and decision-making
  • Manage assigned work with limited oversight while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and momentum in a fast-paced litigation setting
  • Work closely with the Managing Attorney and Paralegal to keep matters organized, prioritized, and moving forward effectively
  • Handle case review responsibilities in a self-directed manner, including tasks that require independent follow-through without dedicated legal support staff
