Job Description:

Help needed with elderly female dementia patient requiring gentle supervision for tablets, toileting, teeth, changing into bed clothes. Cooking supper such as fry up, cottage pie and veg, salmon and veg etc. Assisting mum with navigating evening entertainment reading/classic FM/wildlife documentaries/films/tennis/snooker. Occasional help with cleaning up if incontinent of urine/feces if an accident occurs but using pull-ups 24 hours. Some sundowning behavior is occurring increasingly frequently with agitation/anxiety/anger primarily verbal directed to carer so very experienced dementia nurse or carer required to deflect, redirect and mange situation.

Job Responsibility:

Gentle supervision for tablets, toileting, teeth, changing into bed clothes
Cooking supper
Assisting with navigating evening entertainment
Occasional help with cleaning up if incontinent accident occurs
Help keep patient living safely at home

Requirements:

Very experienced dementia nurse or carer required
Skill set to deflect, redirect and manage sundowning behavior with agitation/anxiety/anger
Experience with dementia care
Experience with personal care
Experience with domestic care
Experience with continence care
Experience with safe administration of medication
Understanding challenging behaviour
