Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network as part of the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties that may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. The position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations, along with ongoing regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • participate in delivery of exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach as well as proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially
  • assist customers with basic requests related to opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications
  • receive direction from managers and exercise judgement within defined policies and procedures
  • develop understanding of bank products and services to connect to customers' needs
  • interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships
  • provide appropriate options for bank products and services to customer
  • refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of interacting with customers experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • bilingual speaking and listening proficiency in Spanish/English

Nice to have:

  • customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems
  • experience proactively engaging with customers through outreach via phone or email
  • ability to educate and connect customer to technology and share the value of mobile banking options
  • experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs
  • experience fostering and developing strong customer relationships
  • ability to build strong relationships with internal partners
  • ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
  • ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss
  • ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members
  • relevant military experience including working with military protocol and instructions, enlisted evaluations, officer/leadership reporting
  • relevant military experience including working in personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources or military recruiting
  • proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues
