We are looking for a customer-focused Personal Banker to join our team on a Contract basis. This role supports daily branch operations by assisting clients with account services, processing routine banking transactions, and helping identify financial products that align with customer needs. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a solid understanding of banking practices and compliance standards.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver attentive and detail-oriented service to customers, ensuring each interaction is handled promptly and respectfully
Guide clients through account openings, certificate of deposit transactions, and other deposit-related services while confirming documentation is complete and accurate
Address account questions and service concerns by researching issues and providing practical, timely resolutions
Recommend appropriate banking products and share relevant information with customers to support relationship growth and service needs
Complete teller and branch transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check handling, night drop processing, and daily balancing activities
Verify customer identity, review required information, and follow compliance procedures when opening, maintaining, or closing accounts
Support operational tasks such as debit card requests, check orders, cash shipments, supply monitoring, proof balancing, and monthly reporting assistance
Represent the bank in the local community and contribute to business development efforts by building strong customer relationships
Assist branch leadership and provide broader support for deposit operations and other assigned banking activities as needed
Requirements:
Experience in customer service within banking, financial services, or a similar regulated environment
Working knowledge of personal banking products, account servicing, and basic branch operations
Ability to process transactions accurately, manage cash responsibly, and maintain detailed records
Familiarity with banking regulations, identity verification practices, and compliance expectations
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to serve customers professionally in person and by phone
Comfort using banking platforms, core systems, and standard office technology to complete daily work
Ability to handle multiple priorities, stay organized, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced setting
