Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch Network as part of the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. This role involves engaging with customers, proposing products and services, and handling various customer requests while complying with regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in delivery of exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach as well as proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially
  • assist customers with basic requests related to opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications
  • develop understanding of bank products and services to connect to customers' needs
  • interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships
  • provide appropriate options for bank products and services to customers
  • refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed.

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of interacting with customers experience
  • bilingual speaking and listening proficiency in Spanish/English (if needed)
  • ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • compliance with the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008
  • ability to educate and connect customer to technology and share the value of mobile banking options
  • ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations
  • ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members
  • maintenance of cash drawer, cash handling and balancing
  • passing required language assessment (if needed)
  • meeting Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator positions
  • relevant military experience including protocol, personnel benefits management, human resources, or recruiting.

Nice to have:

  • Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems
  • experience proactively engaging with customers through outreach via phone or email
  • experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs
  • experience fostering and developing strong customer relationships
  • ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss
  • relevant military experience related to enlisted evaluations, officer/leadership reporting, personnel benefits management, or transitions.
