As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we care for, we have an exciting management opportunity as Person in Charge for one of our nurse led services in Co Roscommon.
Job Responsibility:
Provide the highest possible standards of support to those who use Orchard Community Care service
Ensure the service is in line with appropriate Government and Health Service Executive (HSE) Policy
Act as the Person in Charge for existing services ensuring compliance with the Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards
Take the lead on shift when on duty in the service
Participate in the provision of direct care to individuals
Assist in assessing the needs of individuals under care and developing individualised care plans
Ensure the implementation of appropriate care interventions and monitor the progress and outcomes of care
Assist in training and orienting new care team members
Assist in organising and facilitating training programs and workshops for the team
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of care plans, assessments, and other relevant records
Monitor and ensure the completion of required documentation by team members
Assist in implementing quality improvement initiatives
Conduct regular audits and checks to ensure adherence to quality standards
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team
Lead and participate in the On-Call support system
Requirements:
A relevant degree (minimum level 7) in Nursing
Valid NMBI registration
A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care
Level 6 Management qualification (achievement can be supported by the company)
A proven track record of managing a service which meets quality, regulatory/legislative requirements
Full current driving license with full eligibility to drive in Ireland, and access to a vehicle
Nice to have:
Preferably having worked with people with intellectual disabilities
