Clarendon Homes, part of Campbell Property Group (CPG) — one of Australia’s leading residential construction and property development companies — is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Permits Officer to join our Loganholme, QLD team on a Maternity Leave Contract until March 2027. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage council, certifier, and authority approvals across residential projects
  • Prepare and lodge permit applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate documentation including BASIX/energy reports, engineering, and plans
  • Liaise with councils, certifiers, consultants, and internal teams to progress approvals
  • Track permit status and follow up outstanding items to meet build timelines
  • Maintain accurate records across internal systems and workflows
  • Support Sales, Drafting, Estimating, and Construction teams to enable smooth handovers
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer outcomes

Requirements:

  • Experience in permits administration, approvals coordination, or residential construction
  • Understanding of council approval processes and compliance requirements (highly regarded)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple applications and competing deadlines
  • Confident communication skills when liaising with internal teams and external authorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/build management systems
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and commitment to quality outcomes
  • Previous experience within residential home building or local government approvals will be highly regarded
