The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining the necessary reports to prepare, submit, and track development and building approvals, ensuring documentation meets developer, council, CDC, and company policy requirements, contributing to efficient project progression and high quality customer outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all initial site-specific permit reports
Prepare and submit compliant applications for development and building approvals across councils, CDC and other authorities
Liaise with stakeholders to obtain reports and plans required for building applications
Liaise with Developers, Councils and Certifiers for updates and meet requirements
Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative and regulatory tasks to meet workflow demands
Maintain organised, up-to-date records for all applications and approvals
Provide clear and proactive communication with internal stakeholders regarding permit progress and requirements
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in residential building, construction, or a related field (e.g. planning, certification, drafting, or approvals)
Familiarity with residential design documentation such as site plans, elevations, and shadow diagrams (preferred)
Basic understanding of NSW building regulations, council planning codes, and CDC approval pathways. (preferred)
Working knowledge of development application and building permit processes
Strong attention to detail and ability to assess applications to ensure council and certifier compliance
Awareness of key documentation requirements for council and certifier submissions (e.g. BASIX, 149 certificates, title plans)
Proficient in using relevant software platforms (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, internal CRM/scheduling systems, document management tools)
Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in all compliance and permit-related documentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels, manage competing priorities, and proactively resolve compliance and design issues
