Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Permit Technician to join our team in Nampa, Idaho. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in facilitating the permitting process by ensuring accurate and timely submission of applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in permitting procedures, codes, and regulations while supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications, ensuring all required information is accurate and complete
  • Track and manage permit documentation to maintain organized and up-to-date records
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to address questions and resolve permit-related issues
  • Review permitting requirements to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Coordinate schedules and timelines to support the timely delivery of permits
  • Communicate updates and progress to relevant stakeholders throughout the permitting process
  • Support the drafting and review of contracts associated with permitting activities
  • Facilitate the processing of building permits for construction and related projects
  • Monitor and report on the status of submitted permits to ensure deadlines are met
  • Provide administrative support to streamline the permitting workflow

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with building permits, construction industry practices, and related regulations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience coordinating schedules and tracking documentation in an environment that requires attention to detail
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing contracts or similar documents
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external agencies
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in application preparation and compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while handling independent responsibilities

  • Monitors the progress of permit applications, tracks milestones, and proactively addresses any issues that may arise during the permitting and compliance process

  • Prepares regular reports on permitting status, including updates on pending applications, approvals, and any potential delays
  • Researches and identifies the regulatory requirements and permitting processes applicable to each project at local, state, and federal levels
