Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Permit Officer to join our team at the Wodgina Lithium Processing Plant. In this role you will be responsible for the development, implementation and upkeep of the Wodgina Processing Facilities isolation and tagging system. This includes the daily planning, implementation and monitoring of permits and isolations, as well as preparing permits for upcoming work and shutdowns. Timely response to breakdown tasks to ensure equipment is back online as soon as possible is also essential. Full-time position based on a 8/6 roster (Day shifts only), offering Fly In, Fly Out from Perth WA and Brisbane QLD.

Job Responsibility:

  • Permit preparation and scoping of isolation requirements
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the Isolation and Tagging systems and procedures
  • Perform level master and group isolations and de-isolation
  • Management of isolation requirements for: Weekly planned preventative maintenance schedule
  • Weekly Modular shutdowns
  • Weekly Primary Crusher Shutdowns
  • 12 weekly major plant outages
  • Daily breakdown maintenance
  • Maintain operational discipline and consistency across shifts and teams by adhering to operating procedures, strategies/philosophies, troubleshooting guides and escalation protocols at all times
  • Ensuring that the Isolation and Tagging procedure is adhered to by the end user
  • Conduct training of other personnel in the Isolation and Tagging process
  • Regular scheduled auditing of the systems and processes

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role developing and/or implementing Permit to Work and Isolation/Tagging systems
  • Experience in performing isolations and permit issuing within a process operating environment
  • Sound understanding and previous experience in mineral processing operations including crushing, grinding, magnetic separation, flotation (conventional and reverse), thickening, and filtration, tailings disposal and management (wet and dry)
  • Readily understand/ able to read P&ID's
  • Hold, or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance valid within 12 months
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen
  • Australian driver's license (Manual)
  • Full Australian working rights
