Job Description:

Permanent SEN Teacher role in a brand-new SEND Secondary School opening September 2025, supporting young people (ages 11-16) with Autism and unique sensory needs. The role focuses on building the school from the ground up with small class sizes, high support, and creative freedom within the National Curriculum.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teaching History and Geography to students with social communication and sensory needs
  • Working in a non-confrontational way to help students regulate emotions
  • Collaborating with therapists and support staff
  • Keeping up to date with best ways to support neurodivergent learners

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS)
  • Experience teaching History and Geography
  • Experience with Autism and sensory needs
  • Experience with social communication needs
  • Experience with neurodivergent learners
  • High-energy, empathetic, and patient
  • Willing to help out as the school grows

Nice to have:

  • Background in youth work
  • Experience in administering medication
  • Mentor experience
  • Personal care experience
  • Restraint training
  • Speech and language therapy experience
