Permanent Secondary Teacher | Business Studies & Economics (Key Stage 4 & 5). Are you a highly motivated and qualified Secondary Teacher seeking a rewarding, permanent opportunity? We are looking for an exceptional practitioner to join our successful and forward-thinking secondary school. This full-time, permanent post is ideal for a dedicated professional ready to take ownership of their own classes and contribute fully to the departmental success within Key Stage 4 (KS4) and Key Stage 5 (KS5).

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging lessons in Business Studies and Economics
  • Responsible for a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students, primarily teaching GCSE Business Studies and A-Level Business Studies and/or A-Level Economics
  • Use formative and summative assessment strategies to effectively guide student learning
  • Take full responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your classes, including planning, preparation, and detailed marking
  • Contributing to the development of schemes of work
  • Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback
  • Undertaking a form tutor role
  • Actively participating in whole-school life and training

Requirements:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a closely related field
  • Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching KS4 Business Studies (GCSE) and KS5 (A-Level) Business Studies and/or Economics
  • Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Is passionate about commercial awareness and economic principles and committed to raising student attainment
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements and A-Level specifications (e.g., AQA, Edexcel)
  • Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
