In this role, you will collaborate closely with perioperative and procedural teams, including surgeons, nurses, and administration, to analyze clinical workflows and requirements, assist with system build, audit, maintenance, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven strategies.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with administrative teams to assess, design, and implement effective workflows that support perioperative and procedural services
Observe workflows to help identify enhancement opportunities for the patient, provider and/or staff experience
Assist with onboarding activities for new team members
Role model best practices and promote standardized workflows
Participate in efforts to improve user adoption of workflow changes
Evaluate and facilitate optimizations that enhance clinical decision support, operational efficiency, and standardization
Act as a liaison between front line clinical teams, ensuring that clinical needs are adequately represented and addressed in technology-related, training, optimizations, and initiatives
Assist in support and troubleshooting for clinical departments, addressing system issues promptly and ensuring minimal disruption to clinical operations
Coordinate and provide training to clinical end-users, promoting optimal utilization of information systems and technology
Assist in the analysis and interpretation of data, providing meaningful insights and recommendations for process improvements and strategic decision-making
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) and other data privacy and security requirements
Provide support, and adoption efforts for system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, administrators, and IT professionals
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in clinical informatics, incorporating new insights into organizational processes and systems
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science nursing or other clinical healthcare related field. A combination of experience and education may be considered
1 or more years experience as super user and/or providing user support for technology changes in healthcare setting
2 or more years experience in a clinical position (nursing or ancillary) in a healthcare institution or clinic of comparable size and complexity
Current professional license or clinical certificate required in professional area
Able to obtain certification or proficiency (with certification-level score) in assigned Epic application within six (6) months of employment
Basic analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Proficient in using various software applications and databases relevant to perioperative and procedural services, such as EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems, scheduling software, and data analysis tools
