Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the full-time position of Performing Arts/Music Teacher to commence in January 27th 2026. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. This position would be suitable for a teacher beginning or growing their career, as OLOL provides an experienced team with which to work.
Requirements:

Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
Well versed in contemporary teaching pedagogies
Possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning
Appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment
Differentiate learning for students according to their educational needs and abilities and are responsible for the creation of effective assessment practices and quality teaching programs
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Confident in the use of ICT
Demonstrate initiative and a commitment to ongoing Professional Learning
Possess a love of learning
Hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration
Knowledge and understanding of the Performing Arts and Music Curriculum
Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of contemporary learning pedagogies and explicit teaching strategies
Able to show a thorough understanding of differentiated and personalised learning
