Performance Engineer

• Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will take responsibility for analysing technical engineering reports to determine required works and identify improvement opportunities
• Take full ownership of the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and updating of Ensign’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system and certificate registers
• Act as the primary liaison between Operations and Trades teams to release, prioritise, and address work orders
• Manage your portfolio independently, ensuring equipment certification and integrity are maintained across our Australian operations

• A Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering will be required
• Technical understanding of drilling rig equipment, assets, and industry standards (API/AS)
• Proficiency in EAM systems and Microsoft Project
• Ability to analyse data and audit findings and convert them into practical, field based improvements
• Ability to identify trends, non‑conformances, and improvement opportunities to reduce repeat failures and non‑productive time (NPT)
• A natural communicator who can effectively translate complex requirements to field staff, management, and external clients
• 5 years experience
