Job Description:

This position will be part of the broader NextGen Production Support team with a focus on identifying, analyzing, and resolving potential performance issues within the claims system (Health Rules Payer (HRP)) and the enrollment systems (Market Prominence (MP) & Softheon). The person in this position will interact with business, quality assurance (QA), release delivery, infrastructure, and vendor partners to drive system stability and maintain system performance & reliability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitoring system performance metrics such as response time, throughput, resource utilization, and error rates
  • Identifying performance bottlenecks and associated root causes
  • Analyzing behavior patterns to understand performance impacts across concurrent workloads
  • Optimizing system architecture and infrastructure to improve scalability and performance
  • Communicating performance issues and proposing solutions to address them effectively
  • Required to provide on-call support 24x7 as needed on a rotating basis
  • Participate in infrastructure, maintenance, and application release check-outs
  • Maintain system support documentation
  • Adhere to all established methodologies, standards, and guidelines
  • Various aspects of event, incident, problem and change management
  • Developing performance test strategies and plans to measure against defined baselines or to define baseline performance criteria
  • Presenting performance test results and findings to stakeholders, including development teams, project managers, and product owners
  • Collaboration with numerous applications teams to monitor systems, applications, and processes to meet availability goals and to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Foster a positive environment and demonstrate successful relationship building with cross-functional teams and business partners on overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects

Requirements:

  • Basic experience with AppDynamics or Splunk or Linux shell command
  • Understanding of multi-tier applications
  • 3+ years exposure to batch processing, monitoring technologies, and trend analysis
  • 3+ years experience with event and incident management working across multiple teams
  • 3+ years experience working in and/or leading dynamic cross-competency teams thru issue resolution

Nice to have:

  • Experience with web service technologies such HTTP protocol
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
  • Possess reasoning and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work across boundaries without alienating others, while bringing out the best in peers to be successful
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • comfortable communicating with all levels of the company to include Senior Leadership and software vendor partners
  • Competent, self-starter with ability to identify and bring forward ideas to improve the overall platform
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem resolution, and decision-making skills
  • A willingness to learn vendor applications and new technologies
  • Desire to be a confident member of an evolving team that is willing to work hard to make a difference for peers, business, and other IT professionals
